Mission Control Tabs is a Chrome browser extension that provides a visual dashboard for managing your open browser tabs. This policy explains what data the Extension accesses and how it is used.
The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions to operate:
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
tabs | Read tab titles, URLs, and favicons to display them in the dashboard |
activeTab | Access the currently active tab when capturing a screenshot |
tabGroups | Read tab group names and colors for visual grouping |
sessions | List recently closed tabs and windows for one-click restoration |
sidePanel | Display the dashboard as a browser side panel |
host_permissions: <all_urls> | Required by Chrome to call captureVisibleTab for screenshot thumbnails |
Screenshots (thumbnails) are captured using chrome.tabs.captureVisibleTab and stored only in memory. They are never written to disk or transmitted anywhere, and are discarded when the dashboard is closed.
User preferences (view mode, theme, zoom level, background color) are stored in localStorage on your local device and never leave your browser.
The Extension does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services.
The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
If this policy is updated, the "Last Updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
